This year presents a new challenge for us, recalibrating expectations and assumptions from a year of highs and lows. Well, mostly lows. We have another year of data on how Shaka Smart and his staff like to operate, another year of observations to inform our opinions and predictions, another year to fuel our wildly inappropriate speculations. We go into the season that was, the season that will be, and all that implies. We spend time looking at the expected impact of the incoming class, how the roster rearranges, and which players will benefit. We also look at the entire schedule, highlight which games will most likely dictate the outcome of the year, and dig into the team’s recruiting plans. We hope this book will give you the tools necessary to understand what the Texas basketball program is attempting to achieve and will enhance your appreciation of the games.
